Boil 2 cups of water and pour into a large heatproof pitcher. Add black tea bags and let steep for approximately 10 minutes.

In a saucepan, combine the remaining 2 cups of water and diced mango. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, mashing mango into a puree as it cooks.

Strain the mango mixture into the pitcher with the steeped tea, discarding solids. Add honey and stir well to dissolve.

Allow tea to cool to room temperature. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mango slices if desired.
