Delicate wontons in rich broth with fresh toppings, ready in 25 minutes for a quick, comforting weeknight meal.

# Ingredients:

01 - 20 frozen or fresh wontons (pork, shrimp, or chicken)
02 - 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
03 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1-inch piece ginger, grated
05 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce, low sodium preferred
06 - 1 teaspoon sesame oil
07 - 2 green onions, sliced
08 - 1 cup bok choy or spinach (optional)
09 - 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
10 - 1/2 teaspoon chili oil or red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

# Steps:

01 - In a large pot, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
02 - Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the soy sauce and let the flavors meld for about 5 minutes.
03 - Add the wontons to the simmering broth. Cook for 3–5 minutes if fresh, or 4–6 minutes if frozen, until they float to the top and are fully cooked.
04 - If using bok choy, spinach, or mushrooms, stir them into the broth during the last 2 minutes of cooking to keep them tender and fresh.
05 - Remove from heat and drizzle in sesame oil. Ladle the soup into bowls, garnish with sliced green onions, and add chili oil or red pepper flakes for extra spice if desired.
06 - Enjoy your comforting and flavorful wonton soup!
