Balsamic Strawberry Caprese Salad (Printable Version)

Sweet strawberries, creamy mozzarella and aromatic basil drizzled with balsamic glaze create a refreshing summer sensation.

# Ingredients:

01 - Strawberries, ripe and fresh, thinly sliced
02 - Fresh mozzarella, sliced or in balls
03 - Fresh basil leaves, hand-torn
04 - Balsamic reduction, homemade or store-bought
05 - Olive oil (optional)
06 - Freshly cracked black pepper (optional)
07 - Sea salt (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Rinse strawberries under cold water and pat them dry. Slice them into thin slices, approximately 1/4 inch thick.
02 - Slice fresh mozzarella into rounds or use mozzarella balls, draining and patting them dry to remove excess moisture.
03 - On a serving platter, alternate layers of sliced strawberries and mozzarella. Arrange in a circle or rows as desired.
04 - Drizzle balsamic reduction over the layered strawberries and mozzarella. Top with fresh basil leaves. For additional flavor, optionally drizzle olive oil, sprinkle black pepper, and add sea salt.
