Honey Butter Chicken (Print-Friendly Version)

Tender chicken pieces coated in spiced flour, fried until golden, then smothered in a sweet, sticky honey butter sauce.

# What You Need:

→ Chicken

01 - 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
02 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
03 - 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
04 - 1/2 tsp onion powder
05 - 1 tsp salt
06 - 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
07 - 1 lb chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
08 - 1 tbsp unsalted butter
09 - 1 tbsp canola oil, or any light oil
10 - 1 tbsp green onions, sliced

→ Honey Butter Sauce

11 - 5 tbsp butter, room temperature
12 - 1/2 cup honey
13 - 1 tbsp soy sauce
14 - 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
15 - 1/4 tsp salt
16 - 1/8 tsp ground black pepper

# How to Make It:

01 - In a large bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, onion powder, salt, and ground black pepper. Add the chicken pieces and toss thoroughly to coat evenly.
02 - Melt the butter and oil in a large cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken in a single layer, shaking off excess flour beforehand. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown, then set aside.
03 - Lower the heat to low and add the remaining butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, salt, and ground black pepper until the mixture is smooth and thickened.
04 - Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce. Turn off the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
05 - Transfer the chicken to a serving platter. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve with white rice and sautéed green beans.

# Important Notes:

01 - Leave space between chicken pieces while frying for a crispier texture.
