Ham Balls Brown Sugar Glaze (Printable Version)

Tender ham and pork balls coated in brown sugar glaze, perfect for festive appetizers with a sweet, tangy finish.

# Ingredients:

→ Ham Ball Mixture

01 - 450 g fully cooked ham, cubed
02 - 450 g ground pork
03 - 240 ml whole milk
04 - 40 g crushed cornflakes
05 - 1 large egg, lightly beaten
06 - 55 g brown sugar
07 - 12 g ground mustard
08 - 2.5 g salt

→ Brown Sugar Glaze

09 - 200 g brown sugar
10 - 60 ml cider vinegar
11 - 12 g ground mustard

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C. Lightly grease baking trays.
02 - Pulse ham in batches in a food processor until finely ground.
03 - In a large bowl, combine ground ham, ground pork, milk, crushed cornflakes, beaten egg, brown sugar, ground mustard, and salt. Blend just until incorporated.
04 - Form mixture into 2.5 cm balls and arrange in a single layer on prepared trays.
05 - In a small saucepan over medium heat, stir together brown sugar, cider vinegar, and ground mustard until sugar is completely dissolved.
06 - Brush half of the glaze evenly over the ham balls.
07 - Bake for 30–35 minutes, rotating trays and gently stirring ham balls halfway through, until browning begins.
08 - Remove from oven and toss warm ham balls gently with remaining glaze. Serve immediately.
