Grilled Tofu Zesty Marinade (Printable Version)

Crisped tofu glazed in vibrant marinade, ideal for grilling and sharing during spring meals.

# Ingredients:

01 - 400 g firm tofu, drained and pressed

→ Marinade

02 - 60 ml soy sauce
03 - 30 ml olive oil
04 - 15 g fresh ginger, grated
05 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
06 - 15 ml honey or pure maple syrup
07 - 15 ml rice vinegar
08 - 5 ml sesame oil

→ Garnish

09 - 2 green onions, thinly sliced
10 - Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

# Steps:

01 - In a medium bowl, vigorously whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, honey or maple syrup, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until fully blended.
02 - Slice the pressed tofu into thick, even slices. Arrange tofu in a shallow dish and completely coat with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes or up to 2 hours for enhanced flavor infusion.
03 - Preheat an outdoor grill or grill pan to medium-high heat, ensuring the surface is clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
04 - Remove tofu from the marinade, allowing excess to drain off. Place tofu slices on the preheated grill and cook for 5 to 7 minutes per side, turning carefully until grill marks develop and edges are crisp.
05 - Transfer grilled tofu to a serving plate. Sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds as desired. Serve immediately, paired with fresh seasonal vegetables or grains.
