Grilled Chicken Salad Sandwich (Printable Version)

Crisp, buttery bread with creamy chicken salad, Swiss cheese, lettuce, and fresh tomato for a quick lunch.

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 slices sandwich bread
02 - Softened butter, as needed
03 - 1 1/3 cups chicken salad
04 - 4 slices Swiss cheese
05 - 8 slices ripe tomato
06 - 4 large romaine lettuce leaves

# Steps:

01 - Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
02 - Arrange all slices of bread buttered side down on a preheated griddle or skillet.
03 - Place one slice of Swiss cheese on four of the bread slices.
04 - Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
05 - Remove bread from griddle. Spread approximately 1/3 cup chicken salad onto each of the four slices without cheese. Top with a lettuce leaf and two tomato slices per sandwich.
06 - Close each sandwich with the toasted bread and melted cheese. Cut sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
