Combine ground sausage, ground beef, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning. Shape into 140–170-gram (5–6-ounce) patties slightly larger than English muffins. Sear in a hot skillet with oil for 5–6 minutes on each side.
